Greetings from British Council

We are pleased to inform that the call for Newton Bhabha PhD Placements for 2017-18 is open now. Through working with overseas research groups on challenging projects, Newton-Bhabha scholars gain from an exposure to high-quality international research at an early stage in their careers. It is the fourth consecutive year for Newton to offer this opportunity for the UK and Indian PhD scholars to spend a period of their study (2 to 4 months) in Indian and UK higher education institutions.

This placement is student centred and aims to enhance the capacity building of individuals by participating in international intellectual networks, building cultural understanding, and fostering long term sustainable research collaborations.
