DBATU CELEBRATES KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
DBATU NCC UNIT celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 24th July 2019 in presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere and Commanding Officer of 6 Mah Bn NCC, Mumbai-A, Col. Shirish Pandey.
As a part of program, sports competitions were held on Parade ground early morning where Col. Shirish Pandey motivated cadets about sports. After that as per scheduled time the CO visited University, where he was welcomed by Guard of Honour. The CO visited NCC Office, and inspect. After that the CO along with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of University layed a garland at Amar Jawan Jyoti, marked the presence at the Amar Javan Jyot made under the dome near SBI atm. Then salami shastra, shok shastra and salami shastra was done respectively. After that, kargil official songs was played. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vedala Rama Sastry, addressed the gathering. The CO and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor had meeting in the Vice-Chacellor’s cabin and discussed various ideas for the development of the NCC Unit at DBATU Lonere.
The CO has then addressed the cadets in the NCC Office, in which he has motivated the cadets for their bright future career development. He aslo challenged the cadets to come up with some ideas about developing a low budget firing simulator. He also has informed about the upcoming national level camps. Then at end of program the CO has done a tree plantation in front of University Building.
