Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University is established to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or any other potential sources of discrimination, have equal access to opportunities, resources, and services. The EOC strives to create an inclusive and equitable environment by addressing issues of inequality and discrimination.

Functions and Responsibilities of the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC):

• Promoting Equality and Inclusivity: The EOC works towards fostering an inclusive culture where all individuals, regardless of their background, have equal opportunities to thrive.
• Addressing Discrimination: It focuses on identifying and addressing any form of discrimination or bias, ensuring fair treatment for all.
• Awareness Programs: The EOC organizes awareness programs to educate students and faculty about equality, diversity, and inclusivity, promoting a supportive campus culture.
• Support Systems: It provides necessary support systems for students from underrepresented communities, helping them navigate academic and social challenges.
• Scholarships: The EOC advocates for and helps students access scholarships and financial assistance, particularly for those from economically weaker sections and other marginalized groups.
• Liaison and Coordination: The EOC liaises with various departments and external bodies to ensure the university's policies are inclusive and equitable.
• Monitoring and Reporting: The EOC monitors the effectiveness of its initiatives, providing regular reports to ensure continual improvement in promoting equality and addressing disparities.

The EOC is dedicated to ensuring that students from underrepresented communities, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and economically weaker sections, are provided with the necessary facilities and opportunities to succeed.
