All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recently decided that, starting from 2017-18, the engineering students should mandatorily undergo internship training before taking up jobs, so that they can gain practical skills and experience and suitably fit in the desired roles in industry. For this purpose, AICTE has partnered with Engineering Council of India (ECI) in this regard, to enhance their employability. ECI shall be facilitating hands-on training / internship for these graduates through its member associations, in their respective stream of engineering. The main objective of the Conference is to deliberate the requirements of the industry for engineering manpower and how these can be developed and met.
It is felt that the deliberations at the Conference will be of great significance in terms of the budding engineers’ professional development and maximizing their contribution to enhancing the performance and image of the organizations, which employ them. The useful recommendations coming out of this conference shall be submitted to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for implementation and inclusion in their Vision Documents.
In addition, an E- Compendium of the conference is also being brought out. Participants to the conference are invited to send their Technical papers.
