Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra and DBATU signed a MoU on 5/6/2017 at Sahyagiri Guest House, Mumbai to come on board as its academic and technological partner. DBATU and all its affiliating Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering colleges will work for the various academic, research, training and many more projects. The MoU was signed under the guidance and active leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor V. G. Gaikar and signed by the University Registrar Dr. Sunil S. Bhamre. University Tribal Development Centre Coordinator, Dr. B. F. Jogi will initiate and schedule the activities such as:
- Promoting awareness about science and technology in masses,
- Equip adolescents (both boys & girls) of ashram schools
- Tribal related data collection, compilation, and analysis
- Research and innovation
These activities will be conducted at the University departments and university affiliated colleges with the help of faculty members, students, researchers and industry persons for the benefit of society particularly in the tribal area of Maharashtra State.
